Rule 3
Duties, Duties and Powers of the Chief Electoral Officer
In addition to the duties, duties and powers mentioned elsewhere in the Act and these regulations, other duties, duties and powers of the Chief Election Officer shall be as follows:-
(a) To request the details of employees and teachers as per sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Act from the District Election Office for manpower management required for the election,
(b) After receiving the details according to Clause (a) in coordination with the election officer within the district, appointing and deputing polling officers, assistant polling officers, assistant staff and support staff required for the polling stations throughout the district and providing the details to the concerned election officer. > (B1) Receiving the ballot paper received from the Commission and submitting it to the concerned polling officer (B2) To monitor, inspect and supervise the polling work in the polling station by appointing mobile teams in the required number on the polling day,
(B3) Arranging ballot papers for the election of women and dalit or minority members of the village executive and city executive within the district,
(c) after the completion of the election, based on the reports received from the election officers within the district, prepare a comprehensive report and submit it to the commission,
(d) To supervise and coordinate election-related work within the district to perform other tasks as specified by the Commission.
